Let God Handle The Rest

Let God Handle The Rest

I am so excited about what God is doing right now. I just know God is going to do something amazing.

We are seeing wars break out all over the place, and rumors of wars circulating in the atmosphere. It could be a time of great fear, and anxiety. But this is what I know…these wars did not catch God by surprise. He was fully aware of what was going to happen. Our job is to keep on living, loving, praying, and believing.

And let God handle the rest.

If this world has taught us nothing else, it’s taught us that waiting for the right moment may be too late. Although we are in the last quarter of the year, it is not too late to do what you have always wanted to do. Maybe visit places you have never been, or try that thing that has always seemed impossible.

It doesn’t matter what is going on in the world. This is the time to dream bigger than we have ever dreamed before. God is going to put super to someone’s natural before the end of this year. Will it be you?

God wants us to walk by faith. That means that we can’t be so focused on the things we see that we forget who He is. There is no war bigger than the plan God has for our lives.

The things we have been believing God for…keep believing. We can’t afford to let any opportunities pass us by. Not now. Not with the way things are going in this world. We have to expect God to move on our behalf. This is a new day, and we owe it to God to live it to the fullest. To keep dreaming in spite of what the news is telling us. It’s time for us to get to work.

And let God handle the rest.

Until next time…

Sometimes We Have To Take Baby Steps

Sometimes We Have To Take Baby Steps

I listened to a young preacher do her initial sermon once, and I could tell how nervous she was. It’s an awesome task to stand in front of an audience, and pour your heart out, not knowing if they would even listen to what you had to say.

It made me think about the first time I spoke in public. I was a member of Toastmasters. I was so nervous that I could feel my legs shaking through my pants, and I was sure everyone else could see it too. I had a written speech, but I couldn’t even see the words. It was a mess, but thankfully I made it through without passing out.

Back then I dreamed of speaking all over the world one day. Actually, I still hold onto that dream. I believe through God anything is possible. During those Toastmasters meetings, at times, I would feel so defeated, and my faith would feel so small. But I learned to be patient with myself, and to take baby steps.

Speaking in public didn’t come easy for me, because I was a background kind of girl. But I believe that God doesn’t give us a vision for something without also giving us provision to carry it out. The problem is that the enemy knows who you are too, and he knows what God sees in you because he sees it too. His job though is to keep you from it. Our job is to not let that happen.

Taking baby steps means that progress may be slow, but it’s still progress. I believe that one day if I want it badly enough, I will walk boldly into that thing God is calling me to. I won’t ever give up, because I know God is faithful to His promise. We serve a powerful, and amazing God.

Keep pressing. Keep going. Keep believing, and trust that with God all things are possible.

Until next time…

It’s Time to Get to Work!

It’s Time to Get to Work!

I know…I know. I have been missing in action. April was my birthday month, and I decided to take that time to re-group. I wanted to hear from God, because if He is not in it…I don’t want to be in it either.

I believe God is working on something amazing for His people right now. Of course, He is always working on something amazing, but this is different. So much is going on right now, and dragging your feet is not an option. Not anymore.

Maybe you have been sitting on a dream, or just letting life idly pass you by.

Maybe this is the time to dream bigger, and believe bigger than you ever have before.

Maybe you have always wanted to go places you have never been, and try things you have never tried.

God is about to put super to your natural.

Now is the time to stop waiting and claim your inheritance! The things you have been believing God for…keep believing. You cannot afford to let any opportunities pass you by.  Look for God in everything. Remind God of His word, and speak His word back to Him. God wants to bless you, but He needs you to believe that you should be blessed.

You have the favor of God on your life. Act like it, and then walk in it.

Right now, the spirit of fear is taking control, and the enemy is laughing his head off. Really let yourself picture him just sitting there laughing at you biting your nails. And then say to yourself, “NOT THIS TIME!”

I declare that you will not let your dreams drift away.

This is a new day, and you owe it to God to live the abundant life the Bible speaks about. He wouldn’t have given you those gifts if He didn’t want you to use them, right?

God is just waiting to open doors…and it’s time for you to get to work.

Until next time…

Believing God

Believing God

Right now seems to be a time of transition for many folks. I’m not sure about anybody else, but my life seems to be moving at the speed of light, like God is not just moving me…He is propelling me!

My pastor preached from Acts 27 where Paul was a prisoner heading to Rome in the midst of a storm. And when it looked like they weren’t going to make it, an angel visited Paul and told him that they would not lose their lives. Paul relayed the message to the men by saying, “I Believe God.” That not only took faith, but it took boldness…confidence in the God who never fails. What is it that you have been thinking about doing? What have you been holding back on? Why do you not think God is able to make it happen?

God planted a dream in my spirit when I was a little girl, and although I have tried to “be realistic” and find work that pays the bills, He never let me forget that dream. The word says, “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3 ESV).  There are things that God has been showing me for some time, and now is the time to stop dragging my feet and get to work.

It is a powerful time of awakening. We were born with a destiny, and it has been waiting for us.

How amazing it is to look back over your life and see the path God has been preparing for you. How He has held your hand while you rode for a while with the “training wheels” on. Then, how He slowly let go…just enough to let you feel your way before allowing you to soar.

Our God is so awesome and He loves us so much. He never forces us…when we are ready…He just gently guides us into our purpose. Whatever you have been holding inside your heart…now is the time. Know that you can reach for the stars, because your Father owns them…

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” –Psalm 84:11

Just Listen.

Just Listen.

With the war in Ukraine, rumors of war in other parts of the world, and even the violence we are experiencing right here in the United States, we can go to God’s word to find comfort. In Proverbs 1:33 it says, “But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”

If we stay close to God’s word, listen to what He says, and follow His way, He promises to give us peace. And not only to give us peace, but to comfort our minds and our spirits so that we don’t even have to live in fear of harm. Nothing can harm us. We have eternal life through Jesus Christ. That means that even if they come after our bodies…they can’t have our souls. And I know I’ve said it before, but if God made the heavens and the earth, what is it that He won’t do for those He loves? You can trust, and believe that.

Our God is so faithful. Even in those times when we fall into the enemy’s trap, and we end up doing exactly what he wants us to do. Like when he wants us to doubt our ability, or when he wants us to think that our lives have little meaning, and we begin to believe that no one wants to hear what we have to say anyway…God is there to bring us out, and to show us the truth.

The truth is that we are more than conquerors. We already have the victory. We are God’s masterpiece. His chosen ones. And the love He has for us doesn’t even depend on whether we have sense enough to receive it…He just loves us anyway. Who wouldn’t want to love a God like that?

You Don’t Have to Struggle

You Don’t Have to Struggle

We are right at the cusp of a new day….a new year…a new season, and I am so grateful…not for the end—but for the new beginning…

I remember writing my first blog post in 2009 after the publication of my book, “Let My Life Be A Testimony.”  I was so excited and amazed at how God had held my hand through that whole process. He gave me each word, and then held my hand when I set those words free. I was so afraid of rejection that it was almost paralyzing—but God. He never left me…not once. That act of faithfulness changed my life, because now I know that no matter what happens…He will always be by my side. He did not have to prove Himself to me, but He did, and He did for no other reason than His love for me.

Over the last twelve years I have been stretched in ways I never thought possible. I have made mistakes, and learned that those mistakes don’t define me…instead…they have empowered me.  Through these “lessons,” I have learned that the only enemy that can stop me from pursuing all that God has for me is…me.

If you are struggling to be all that God is calling you to be…stop struggling. Nothing will keep you from the blessings God has for you. Deuteronomy 31:8 says that “God goes before you.” That means that we do not have to fear loss of any kind. All we have to do is stay close, and listen for His voice. It’s so much easier to follow His plan anyway.

To close this post today, I want to leave you with this prayer from Ephesians 1:18-20, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.

Let that scripture strengthen you.

Praise Him Like It’s Already Done

Praise Him Like It’s Already Done

Although I know in my heart that God’s promises belong to all of us, I haven’t been living as if I believe it. I have been writing about it, thinking about it, and speaking it to others, but I have been living like I believe. And, I think God is saying enough is enough. The one thing the Lord has shown me is that when I begin to speak His word into the atmosphere…things change. It’s no longer about my issue—it’s about my God. He is God, and He can move mountains, but I have to first believe it myself.

So, I am going to press in until His promises are so real in my life that I can’t breathe without calling one to mind.

This week the promise He is showing me is the one that says God will meet all of our needs. In Philippians 4:19 it says, “And, my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” This scripture says to me that if we have Christ Jesus…we never have to worry about ANYTHING else. God will take care of our needs…all of them. Not because we have been so good, but because if we have the Son…He has us.

God loves us, and He has given us grace enough to handle whatever we go through. As hard as it may be, we have to take our hands off our situation and trust our God to fix it…whatever way He thinks is best. Our job is to just praise Him like it’s already done.

Until next time…

Try God

Try God

There is something in the atmosphere. I don’t know how to explain it, but it feels like whatever you want, whatever you have dreamed, whatever decision you need to make…now is the time to go for it. God knows what we stand in need of, what our desires are, and even before we ask He is already setting things in order. And that’s because He put that desire in us. He knows exactly which way we will go…even before we do.

Grateful can’t even begin to express how I feel about the Lord. He is the great I AM. He has been so good that words are just not adequate enough to express it. And even though things are not ideal right now, I know He is still good. I love Him fully, wholly, completely…and because I know that He loves me…I know that if I keep my mind fixed on Him…everything will be alright.

Life is a series of twists and turns, ins and outs, extreme highs, and even lower lows. But God has built us to handle it. God has given us everything we need to live an abundant life in Him. I have had those days when I wanted to give up, but the Spirit of the Lord within me was so strong that I couldn’t quit even if I wanted to. Those things we think are so huge that there’s no way we will be able to make it through, are nothing for God. He has a plan, and He is not going to let even us mess it up.

I thank God for continuing to bless me over and over again…in spite of the things I do at times. The word says that God can do exceedingly and abundantly above what we can even ask or think, and when we put our faith, and our trust in Him, that is exactly what He will do.

This week, don’t be afraid to think big…dream big…and even believe God for big.

Until next time…

Do It Again God!

Do It Again God!

I think it must be the seasons changing that has me feeling so expectant. It happens every year at this time, and I always look forward to it. There is something about shedding winter that just feels so good. Everything is new again. Leaves are beginning to sprout. Birds are singing more. And because I know that whatever happens in the natural world also happens in the spirit, I know that God is resurrecting everything that was old…and making it new again.

Grateful can’t even begin to express how I feel about the Lord. He has been so good that words don’t seem to be enough. And even though things  are not ideal right now, I know that He is still good. I love Him fully, wholly, completely…and because I know that He loves me…I know that if I keep my mind fixed on Him–everything will be alright.

I have learned that life is a series of twists and turns, ups and downs. I also know that God has built us to handle it, and when it gets to be too much—He covers us until we can get our footing again. I have had those times when I have wanted to give up, but the Spirit of the Lord is so strong within me that I couldn’t quit even if I wanted to. I thank God for never giving up on me…or on you. He will never abandon us, or leave us to our own devices; not after we connect to His Son, Jesus Christ. Praise God!

So know that God is making everything new again. Go ahead. Dream big (It’s impossible to dream too big with God). Give more. Bless someone just for the sake of blessing them. The word says that He can do exceedingly and abundantly above what we can even ask or think…that is HUGE. Just imagine, when you let your mind go and you think of the greatest thing imaginable…He can beat it. That’s the kind of God we serve…

This week, think big…dream big…and believe big!

Until next time…

Be blessed!

Fear of Faith

Fear of Faith

I know…that sounds crazy. How can you have fear of faith? For the last couple of weeks, we have been talking about destiny. And even though our destiny is tailor-made for us, we can delay our destiny by being fearful. I have heard people say, “What is for me is for me, and no one can take it from me.” I believe that too. But I also know that God will use someone else to do what we will not. Now, we may eventually get around to it, but by then, God will have already raised someone else up to take our place, and our destiny will still belong to us. God will never change His mind about us, or what He has chosen for us to do, but He needs people who are going to trust Him more than they fear faith.

See, faith will tell you that you can do anything. But fear will say don’t believe that! Romans 1:9 states, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” That is good in theory, but the reality of it can be scary, right? That’s where we have to tap into God’s grace. His grace steps in to combine with our faith so that we can do all that God has called us to do. He gives us just enough faith to handle each challenge we face. That way, we won’t get boastful; thinking more highly of ourselves than we should (Romans 12:3). We have the choice right now to change our way of thinking, and to not allow fear to keep us from what God wants to do in our lives; and what we can do for the Kingdom of God.

I believe that God is calling us to a higher purpose in this season, and we have to stop having fear of faith. In John 14:12 it says, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” God has a plan for us, and He will be there with us every step of the way. We just have to let His voice speak louder than that of our fear.

Until next time…

Be blessed!
