It’s Time to Get to Work!

It’s Time to Get to Work!

I know…I know. I have been missing in action. April was my birthday month, and I decided to take that time to re-group. I wanted to hear from God, because if He is not in it…I don’t want to be in it either.

I believe God is working on something amazing for His people right now. Of course, He is always working on something amazing, but this is different. So much is going on right now, and dragging your feet is not an option. Not anymore.

Maybe you have been sitting on a dream, or just letting life idly pass you by.

Maybe this is the time to dream bigger, and believe bigger than you ever have before.

Maybe you have always wanted to go places you have never been, and try things you have never tried.

God is about to put super to your natural.

Now is the time to stop waiting and claim your inheritance! The things you have been believing God for…keep believing. You cannot afford to let any opportunities pass you by.  Look for God in everything. Remind God of His word, and speak His word back to Him. God wants to bless you, but He needs you to believe that you should be blessed.

You have the favor of God on your life. Act like it, and then walk in it.

Right now, the spirit of fear is taking control, and the enemy is laughing his head off. Really let yourself picture him just sitting there laughing at you biting your nails. And then say to yourself, “NOT THIS TIME!”

I declare that you will not let your dreams drift away.

This is a new day, and you owe it to God to live the abundant life the Bible speaks about. He wouldn’t have given you those gifts if He didn’t want you to use them, right?

God is just waiting to open doors…and it’s time for you to get to work.

Until next time…

Be blessed

What Fear?

What Fear?

I remember a while ago, I had this dream about snakes. Seeing snakes…even on television quickens my spirit. When I was younger, a snake came out at me while I was playing in the tobacco barn. And I watched as my grandmother killed it with a tobacco stick. She had this fearlessness that I admired. My mother had it too. She wasn’t afraid of anything…at least not that I could tell.

I wanted that fearlessness too.

I know what the Bible says about it. In 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, of love, and of a sound mind.” But I felt like it kept eluding me. But here is what God did. I prayed that God would give me power to overcome the spirit of fear.

And He did it through a dream.

In this dream the snake came out and I saw it, but instead of running, I grabbed it by the neck and threw it down on the ground. Then I asked this man that was standing nearby to chop his head off. But, here’s the crazy thing….I kept replaying the scenario with different people killing the snake. I still grabbed it by the neck, but I asked different people to kill it…some were family members, and some were strangers.

And what God revealed to me was that I was no longer bound to fear. And not only was I set free, but I was bringing some other people out with me. I had operated in fear for many years, and I asked God to show me what it felt like to NOT be afraid. All I know is that God answers prayer.

In that dream I saw myself taking authority over the thing I feared the most. Praise God!

We are in some trying times right now, and a lot of folks are fearful of what tomorrow may bring. We are afraid to go out and afraid of staying in. We are fearful for our finances, our jobs, our children, our families…our country…our world. But in Psalm 34, the Bible says that God delivered us from ALL our fears. And if He said it…I am determined to believe it!

Until next time…

Believing God

Believing God

Right now seems to be a time of transition for many folks. I’m not sure about anybody else, but my life seems to be moving at the speed of light, like God is not just moving me…He is propelling me!

My pastor preached from Acts 27 where Paul was a prisoner heading to Rome in the midst of a storm. And when it looked like they weren’t going to make it, an angel visited Paul and told him that they would not lose their lives. Paul relayed the message to the men by saying, “I Believe God.” That not only took faith, but it took boldness…confidence in the God who never fails. What is it that you have been thinking about doing? What have you been holding back on? Why do you not think God is able to make it happen?

God planted a dream in my spirit when I was a little girl, and although I have tried to “be realistic” and find work that pays the bills, He never let me forget that dream. The word says, “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3 ESV).  There are things that God has been showing me for some time, and now is the time to stop dragging my feet and get to work.

It is a powerful time of awakening. We were born with a destiny, and it has been waiting for us.

How amazing it is to look back over your life and see the path God has been preparing for you. How He has held your hand while you rode for a while with the “training wheels” on. Then, how He slowly let go…just enough to let you feel your way before allowing you to soar.

Our God is so awesome and He loves us so much. He never forces us…when we are ready…He just gently guides us into our purpose. Whatever you have been holding inside your heart…now is the time. Know that you can reach for the stars, because your Father owns them…

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” –Psalm 84:11

Until next time…
